Peralta Retirees Organization

The Peralta Retirees Organization (PRO) is an independent non-profit organization whose members consist of retired employees - faculty, staff, and administrators - of the Peralta Community College District in Oakland, CA.

The objectives and purposes of PRO are:

• to provide assistance to and representation for the members in matters relating to retirement;

• to generate and distribute information concerning retirement issues;

• to initiate, sponsor and encourage activities that will improve the general welfare of the members;

• to aid the greater Peralta Community College District community through volunteer service;

• to accept, maintain and expend funds by way of dues, grants, or from other sources to promote and advance these purposes.

Note: Benefits to which you are entitled are determined by your date of retirement and the Summary Plan Description (SPD) that was in place on the day that you retired (before July 1, 2004 or after July 1, 2004).  PRO is in the process of obtaining a full collection of SPD's.
